Hurontario  is a new area of Mississauga. Hurontario  started to grow as a residential neighborhood in early 1980’s. Population has relatively increased in those regions that are near to Mississauga City Centre. Most of the residents of Hurantario are immigrants that are mostly East Indians. Hurantario  is a community which is family oriented in which majority of the residents own their homes.

Hurontario Street is a road way between Lake Ontario at Mississauga and Lake Huron’s at Collingwood. It is considered as a main thoroughfare with in the cities of Mississauga and Brampton. Hurontario is the busiest transit entranceway in the 905 Region of GTA. It is planned to build a light rail transit along the Mississauga Street and towards the southern side of Brampton.
